What kind of incubation method do you use?

~Aspen

Dry incubation, but if it get down to the 20's I add water but it does not get over 35% ever.

I live in the SE Texas Panhandle so we have 0% humidity so dry incubation didn't work for me. I added water to all my incubators and the eggs seemed to be growing alot better.

Oh, soooooo familiar, except for the husband part. Don't got one o' those. Nobody here to yank on the reins and suggest I have a problem.

I just won two auctions of bargain's eggs. Y'see, I need Delawares and Speckled Sussex. Don't even mention Seramas, because I've started eyeing that breed, too! I've several other bantam breeds, which I first considered midget chickens, but now I know they're just as big as large fowl in personality, compacted into smaller bodies.

I have Seramas and I'm here to addict you all!

The pictures of the three hens are out-dated. However, the pictures of Little Man are very recent (taken last week).

I hatched out these three Serama chicks from the above quad.

Well I just don't understand.... I only have 5 Minorcas, 10 silkies and 47 happy eggs in the bator
wee.gif
They are due to start hatching on Wednesday and I need more eggs
hu.gif
The bator just can't be empty, that's like wasting time as far as I can see. Maybe i will just sneak some in
hide.gif

Doesn't he know the rules ? We can't turn the Bator off because it might stop working because of all the dust and cobwebs that collect. Then you would have to buy another one, so keeping it on saves money:)

So in this egg trading thing I have to pick up and pay for one batch, trade for my original order then trade some of them for the second order of eggs.... hum this is going to work out pretty good!

My husband has actually fallen for becoming a homesteader. He checks the chickens as much as I do and he is now as we speak researching pigs to see what new breeds we can get to eat next year. lol
