i'm sorry. I was told repeatedly to go to this thread to ask questions about hatching. I did not know it was inappropriate to do so. I apologize.

and we've been attempting to answer your questions, so I don't know where you get the idea it's inappropriate...

what you posted for results sounds like your humidity was too high. lack of oxygen is also a factor, so if you have plugs in the incubator, take them out or the chicks may suffocate. you need lots of air for them especially near the end. an egg can only lose humidity so much at a time. even in very dry environments, I don't think I've ever seen one dry out too fast. it's hatching humidity that's critical or else they get stuck once they pip. but even then, if it's too high it'll cause breathing difficulties since they're just learning how to.

for hatching I don't go over 65% but try to keep it about 55-60%. once hatching starts, it'll creep up on it's own because of the wet chicks but will stabilize again quickly once the chick is dry, so don't try to micromanage it at that point...

it depends on what day you are on - but generally just an hour wont affect the hatch

DON'T ADD WATER.  29% is fine.  My incubator is not even registering a humidity right now..... just says LO
