I'm gonna get me a Hovabator Genesis in a couple days. I was wondering what things I should get to go with it? I'm getting the quail and chicken Turners. Is there anything else I need to get that would make it better like any accessories?

Farmers only worry during the growing season, but towns people worry all the time.

A digital thermometer/hygrometer. Incubator Warehouse (online) has one for about $15. AND if you add on their egg candler that is $9.99 (it's the only one that price) and then use coupon code FACEBOOK1, they will deduct the $9.99 for the egg candler, so it's free!

for digital thermometer/hygrometer, i use this one...

was easy enough to measure out and cut a hole in the incubator, then i just ran the wire around the edge using the heat element supports and zip tied it about 2" below my fan... the temps do vary a bit, but i just wrote the equivalent on the 'bator for each one. and below 25% humidity the gauges tend to read a bit low too, so have adjusted my #s for that as well... so it does help to have a known accurate thermometer and hygrometer to test them with. but for the price it's worth the hassle. oh and they're only in degrees C.

actually that may not be the exact same one i got, i don't see a long cord with probe, but you get the idea on the style i used.

You don't really need one with the Genesis, since temp & humidity are built in, unless you would just want one for redundancy...?

Buff laced polish are on my list! The beautiful light coloring and creamy white lacing just catches my eye. I'm building up to the breeds I want slowly as hubby sort of does/ sort of doesn't care when new chicks show up.

We have just moved to lockdown today!!! I've got 6 olive egger eggs, 10 Cochin/silke cross eggs, and 10 silkie eggs in. So excited!!!!

Good luck! :) I have one hen that is an off spring of an Amauracana that lays an olive egg. Her mother laid the aqua green eggs. I'm wondering how that happened. She came from an aqua egg.

Aracaunas (rumpless)= blue eggs, ameracaunas= olive, pink, EEs= mix of both so if hatchery somewhere along the line your americauna may have some of the other in her even though she came out of blue egg. That's my understanding anyhow:) first fire in newly installed woodstove last night and of course the humidity immediately changed in bator. Leveled out after a pot of water was set on stove. At first there was a sudden spike in temp but I was watching closely for it and held the bator open for a minute. Ingenious!
