x2 that is all I have in my hatcher and incubator. I have 3 more on stand by LOL. Don't want to be without it again! The new hatcher I am going to wire up an exhaust fan if it gets too hot.

Well I felt really stupid when I walked in from work this afternoon. I had put water in the bator before I left this morning, with 2 chicks hatched the humidity had dropped down under 50%. Well my directions say to turn it off whenever you are going to open it and so I always do. I just was in such a hurry leaving for work I forgot to turn it on again.

It was only about 78 when I got home. Of course I turned it right on and it came right up to temp in a short time. But I guess I didn't kill everybody; 6 chicks have hatched and several more eggs have pipped.

No Pips yet! how about you.. it's only been 24 hrs but i still keep having to peek..

I candled them (I know, I know LOCKDOWN means stay out lol but My hum never went under 70 so we are good lol), One is DEF internally pipped the other I can't tell for sure, but they are both moving around a lot. I really hope these 2 hatch, my kids will be crushed if they don't make it

I go look through the bator window like ever 5 mins LOL I can't help it! My hubby thinks I'm nuts...but he keeps peeking in there too!

I think I got him hooked! LOL I dont hear any peeping or tapping either. I keep saying over and over in my head "I must be patient, i must be patient..." I hope they come soon!

. I'm not a patient person hee hee, but its a waiting game now!

LOL! I know right! I think I may need one to stay away for a while! Well, I HAVE stayed away for an HOUR now! (I plan on getting up in about 2 mins for a drink, so my waiting and staying away from the bator streak may be over!

I am right there with you! I guess the first time is always the one where we go crazy? I sure hope so! I hope it's not every batch! I have 5 runner eggs and 5 EE bantam eggs coming soon and 8 pheasant eggs also coming soon... I will get NO SLEEP if this keeps up! LMBO!

This little Australian Spotted duckling hatched just before midnight on my daughter's thirteenth birthday so she got a baby duck for her birthday! She was still awake to see it because she is having three friends spend the night and the slumber party is still going strong (the slumbering part should kick in soon).

My kids are still young, we haven't had any slumber parties yet, but I am sure we will be in the near future! LOL

Yup, this is always the most stressful time. Haha... your hubby is secretly as stressed out as you are

. Like Oz says.. Strait Jacket time Hahah....

I definitely can't open now, i woke up to two pips this morning... I makes me crazy when i just see a pip, some of them wait HOURS to get out of the shell.. and you sit there and wonder if they ever will. But then if they don't pip it you always wonder when they are going to. My incubator isn't the most friendly for peeking in, i have to grovel on the floor and peer through the small hole below the bottom shelf. I don't have a DH to tell me I can't hatch more eggs

but my girls always know when it's hatch time and they see me doing that..

They love looking at the chicks but always ask, Mom, Why do we need MORE chickens!!!
