What do you do with all those chicks??? Are the natives stealing THAT many? Or you sell them?
These are mutt eggs - building a local "land race" breed of chickens to give away early next year on a "chicken mission" - I am going to organize a group of BYCers to make a partially tax deductable trip to the Philippines to encourage sustainable chicken raising.

I am going to need about 200 layers and 100 roos for the project.

Its very much in the infancy - but the ball started rolling about a month ago. Once I sure up the whole thing, I will be offering slots on the trip. It will be a 7 day trip with 2 days helping on a medical mission, 2 days teaching chickens then a 3 day tour with some nice RnR spots.

Chicken math + incubator addict =

I have a homemade incubator that holds 10 eggs in a turner, currently with 3 eggs in at day 19. I bought another 10 egg incubator on eBay a couple of days ago but not received yet. Went to poultry auction this morning and bought a tray of 30 fertile eggs!! Oops, I wonder if I take the turner out and turn them manually, how many eggs I can get in my home made bator!?!
