It maybe a girl thing but I just can't HURT them. Kind and easy works for me. I had a chicken friend that was a special services soldier and he was out somewhere and nearly froze to death and he said if he could pick a way to day.... that was it. Just go to sleep and die.

I don't think so, I think it means you are a good person.
I can kill when I have to but I HATE killing anything.
Bad people and suffering animals are what it takes for me.
lol
Killing a healthy animal is a problem for me but I guess I just haven't been hungry enough....
I prefer to find a way to get someone else to do the killing for me.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in my feelings! This was a rough day and will probably have nightmares. The babies work so hard to be born and having to kill them after is brutal! I'm glad I have you guys to share my feelings with and I thank everyone of you!

I remember the first time I HAD to cull some chicks. They were in bad shape and my son called and he was bringing the 3 little granddaughters down to see the chicks..... I HAD TO DO IT QUICK so they didn't see the chicks. I got my crying done before they got there. It was a rough day anyway and that just TOPPED it right off.

You did the right thing don't have nightmares........

interesting conversation............U.S. Navy training had me in a high altitude chamber where the machine caused me to be above "normal" and therefore less oxygen, absolutely zero pain, I would have died had a medic not put my oxygen mask on for me, I was ignorant of how near death I was, that was the point of the exercise, the symptoms are subtle and pain non-existent

Hey peeps, I have a question. I'm getting a brw bator but the only one that fits my budget is a still air. I'm planning to just use it as a hatcher and use my forced air to incubate. What should the temperature and humidity be in a still air for hatching?
