Incubators Anonymous

Hello, I'm Levi and I'm an incubating addict.

I recently had my first taste of hatching Swedish flower hens, partridge brahma, and wheaten americanas with my brinsea advance. I think my incubator had a days rest before I loaded it up with more wheaten Americana eggs and buff laced brahmas. I don't remember how many I put in there, its all fuzzy when I look back, but I'm sure it will be fine!

I also have a broody hen who I am collecting call duck eggs for, I like to consider her my wingman. She understands my addiction, I hope to get her to join soon too!

As soon as this batch is finished I may give the incubator a break, 48 hrs should do it, before I load it up with something else again.

Please help!

Hello my name is Steven me and my wife Tiffany do not have a problem. We took 176 chicks out of the Thatcher this morning but that's not abnormal right? Of course not. They were all cute so that makes it right.
So I repeat I do not have a problem.

Hmmmm The first step is always the hardest! I wish my husband thought the way you two do! Then I wouldn't have a problem either and I would have 176 chicks!

Welcome! When you say "Please help", do you mean help you find more eggs? That's the only help you should need! And why leave a perfectly good incubator empty for 48 hours? It definitely shouldn't take more than 24 hours to clean, sanitize, and get it back to stable temps! Good luck and enjoy your "disease"!
