I'm slowly converting everyone around me to chickens, helping them build coops, giving them advice, telling them, "Oh, no worries, when you decide you want chickens, I'll hatch some out for you!"

It lets me feed my addiction and spread the chicks around. Now the rabbits I'm apparently stuck with, the breeder up the road gave me his whole stock, and since I have never had predator problems around here, I let them all range wild on my property. It is a rabbit haven here, I have 18 running loose, and I imagine in the Spring that number is going to go up exponentially.

... Post office should be calling me about my egg shipment any minute. As it turns out, a watched phone never rings. Tap-tap-tap. Somebody call me and make sure my phone's working?

I am lurking, waiting for the mail to show up
My mail person brings the eggs, pulls up in the driveway and honks! I think she is afraid of my big baby of a dog!

I'm assuming sooner or later the cute on some of them will wear off and I'll have to make some rabbit stew. The guy dumped them off in a big crate and just walked off saying,"Eat 'em afore you get too attached to 'em lady." Strange, strange neighbors here. Okay chicks should be here tomorrow morning, I better go finish up that brooder! HAHA yeah right, I have more BYC to read.
