Waiting is always the worst part. I am still waiting on the swap of the month eggs.

ok no eggs in the mail today... should I wait to put the eggs i have already in until the rest get here? otherwise, if i don't get them till tomorrow, let them rest overnight, then all the eggs will be at LEAST a week old before they incubate.

or i can put these in today, and then put the marans in tomorrow and just put them all in lockdown at the same time? (day 18 for some and 17 for the rest?) i'm expecting 6+ marans eggs, so they would be the minority here...

think what i'm going to do is set them all on saturday, and put some of the bantam eggs in the hatcher since i won't have room for everything... then when i candle at 5-7 days, i can toss the clear eggs and move the banties over.

I think I am way off the Incubator Annon range...
I have borrowed a friend... er... an enabler friend... her Dickie Cabinet Incubator...
I will not ever even SEE the wagon again, and do you know what?
this thing not only holds the temp, adjusts the humidity, self feeds the water in... turns the eggies...
it cooks breakfast for me... and it holds like 150 eggs!!! OMG...
this is a horrible addiction...
I set my for sale to eat eggs!
I had borrowed it cause I bought 30 eggs, which was way too many...
and they looked so small in that huge thing! I just 'had' to set the 2 dozen I had there to sell to my friend at work... ugh...
and it still looks empty with 'only' 48 eggs in there...

ok so i am only on my first batch of silkies (hatching right now!!!!) and i am already trying to figure out what eggs i want to do next, where to get them from and looking at other incubators! no one warned me this was so addicting LOL i think i might have a new hobby/addiction over here!
