Gratz on the new babies!! And

for all the folks in lockdown, getting "hatching back" from hovering over the windows.

ok. i did an animated gif for hatches 2-5...

another bantam pipped, and one looks like he's about to zip.

can't wait to play with the chickies. 1 banty has feathered feet so either the sultan is the poppa or the momma is brahma (or both).

procrastinator in me forgot to buy chick starter. LOL so guess i run to TSC later. want to get a larger feeder too, the mason jar one emptied so quick with just the 13 bantams i started with... and maybe another waterer too LOL. i hate going there i never leave empty handed.

That little one is an Ameruacana pullet.

we're up to #8 hatched - 6 bantam 2 EE, had to shuffle some eggs around, found 2 that i think were dead before lockdown but didn't catch before now... one started to smell with chickies bouncing on it.

so i did a quick candling, rearranged the eggs a bit, those internally pipped moved away from where chicks are gathering so they don't get scrambled... there's still a couple that look like they're a day or so away from hatching.

Got home tonight and it's day 19. When I checked out the incubator I have one that is almost out and 4 more pipped. My early birds are ready to get out of their shells
