Incubators Anonymous

Today is hatch day, but most of the eggs have already hatched! Still a few hold outs, so I will give them a while and before you know it, time will be here to start again!

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

8 Bantam Orpington chicks are out, about 10 more pips. Maybe more, but the chicks have knocked around the eggs so it's hard to tell which ones are pipped.

I've had bad luck with egg cartons. The chicks would always drown in the egg, and the egg carton would soak up all the water in the bottom of the Hova-Bator. It did help w/ the mess though.

I keep trying to count how many chicks there are now, but I can't get a good head count because they're all running around the incubator!!

I think there is between 20-22 chicks though, plus about 2 more pips, then one chick is hatching right now, and then a couple eggs haven't pipped yet. I'm hoping they will do something tonight!!
