Okay, now the production reds are what I really want to get. Those are what I have now and I just LOVE them. They are laying machines. I could order some pullets off mypetchicken but they ship on Dec. 2nd or something, and that seems really cold to me.

Well, I could possibly find a RIR rooster to keep them company for a bit, but I doubt I could find a production roo. I will check into it. Oops, there go the eating eggs again:-D

just a reminder to all...

when posting an email address online, you might want to go back and edit that... bots farm email addresses from websites in order to spam and/or send out viruses.

change it to myname (at) wherever (dot) com or something similar... using spaces in the middle and changing @ to *at* and . to *dot* screws with the bots. using any symbol not allowed within email addresses works... / \\ > < , * ( ) etc... i usually use either ( ) or * *

so you might want to go back and change that asap...

I deleted it. No spammers for me! Also I have an update. The hole is almost a PIP!!! And I can hear one little ducky peepin' to me like crazy! Here's the bad news... I don't think the other 6 made it. They are full grown, but upon further inspection, there is a little teeny weeny space near the air cell. It's as if they all stopped growing 4 days ago or so. I'm starting to bum out a little bit.

I hope I'm wrong. Might post in the ducky thread and see what advice I get.

Aw, i hope your ducks make it. I set one duck egg someone gave me and it hatched, so I gave it to my neighbor. Now I have one more in there , but my humidity has been a bit low so I doubt it will hatch:p Man, those ducks can sure eat a lot!

I hope so too. I posted in the ducky thread and have a response that actually made me feel better. Going to try to snap a pic for her. I wasn't expecting them to hatch til tmw or wed. So maybe they're still good.. Maybe the other 2 are just the early riser-go getter type.

No.

I still have the same scenario. 1 pip, 1 peep. The pip is bigger and I can see it moving around. They are making me nervous, but I know they are different than chickens.. so I'm trying not to freak.
