I sold my first dozen eggs from the cooler I have parked at the end of the driveway!!

Found another customer who wants 1 doz a week and will pay $5 for them. Hope she is true to her word.

Still waiting for some pale brown eggs to hatch. ANd my marans are due to hatch next Monday!!

DH finished one coop--so nice to get the birds out of the house!! Yeah !!!!!!! Thanks DH for the help building it.

We almost got done with the new pens. Put the ramp thingies in and some perches in the runs. Just a few holes to fill and locks to put on tomorrow. Just in time to... tomorrow afternoon we will go pick up some new breeders and I may go get some more over the weekend. I am going to plug the holes as I put birds in the runs just so it can keep moving.

I also got a pullet egg today! Not sure who, but there is an EE that is 10 MONTHS old and no egg yet so

it was hers, but it was brown so may not have been... all the other girls in that run are about 5 months so could really have been any one.

I will be hatching regularly pretty soon!

Congratulations Arielle! I'm going to try the self serve type egg stand this year too. Just bought a new "Farm Fresh Eggs" for sale sign. This one has a little sign underneath the big one that says "Open" or "Closed" on the flip side.

No unfortunately it's Bristol VT. Up here it's cold and below freezing all winter long until about April so no hatching for me until it warms up a bit.

I thought I was going to die today... got to the farm and NO ELECTRICITY! Incubator with 52 Marnas eggs OFF

Well, all was well it was still 99 and a few mins later it was back on. No reason for electricity to be out

funny the water main broke the day before WTH?

Picked up 14 new birds and more coming Saturday

My girls need to start laying!!!! That is a lot of feed and no eggs.... come on pullets.....

Yes. The one I picked up yesterday are. I was going to make the hubby go get a generator if it stayed out

he really only needs a good reason to get one, that might have done it. It is funny the marans started laying like crazy when I started collecting eggs and when I was done they were too. I have gone from 5-6 eggs a day down to 1-2

it is like they knew I was done collecting
