Whats everyone have in their bator? Or, whats on lockdown, or going on lockdown this week?

Well the batch going into lockdown on Friday is Blue and Black Copper Marans, Olive Eggers, EE, RIR, Blue and Reg BR, Blue Rocks, Leghorns, Leghorn Crosses, Lav Split Ams and something else I am sure. Candled them today 161 will make it to lockdown it looks like.

On lockdown this week I have midget white turkey, chocolate turkey, pheasant, and B/B/S silkies. I may have geese coming Saturday, but the toulouse and sebastopol can take up to 31 days, or even a day or two more, or they may come on day 28..... I have to candle them every night during their cooldown and misting, to check if the aircell has turned, or if they have pipped internally.

None anymore, but working on new ones. They get about 25+ lbs, with time. They are evenly chocolate brown, and very docile.
I can find you a link to pics, or run a search on google. They can be a very rich color. We ate ours last winter.

I did run a search....beautiful birds.Can they reproduce naturally?

Yes! They are onlya bout 70% fertile, but that is commen in large poultry like geese, turkeys, peacocks. I don't know about emu. LOL

That's cool. I'm just thinking about the next breed I'll try. Probably be those! They are gorgeous and I have never seen them around here....should sell well.
