I use the fish tank thermometers from WalMart. I know my thermometers based on the hatching results. The Easter Hatch was a little late. THe temperatures ran at 100 or 101. BUT I had them placed on the center of egg cartons and rocked the egg carton. THe net effect was a slightly late hatch. The LG despite the PC fan acts a bit like the still air.

i am going to go with ki4got's expertise on this guys, i just started hatching with an incubator and not using the momma chickens, i have had chickens for years... but this is only my second hatch so i am new to this....

yes! They have a toy section and here they have had the water wigglies

Hey! i just got my first incubator...

Brinsea Mini Advanced, worked great 7 eggs, one turned out not to be fertile! one died after birth but i have 5 healthy fluffy chicks and for all you bird lovers i have them on a live stream in there brooder!

If you can't find a water wiggler, I've read another suggestion: a large balloon filled with a small amt of water and thermometer inserted. Not having seen the set up , not sure how well this works.

Thats an idea too. I got my eggs and they sitting here waiting for a day or so before I put them in. I couldn't see the air sacks in most of them. Don't know if they are just too new or what. I have always been able to see some kind of air somewhere. After a day or two I should be able to see something.
