I have just had a "hatchaholic binge" Oh, about 100+ guineas just popped out in the last two days like popcorn. I was emptying the hatcher like crazy pulling handfuls of guineas out to put in the transitional bator. Whew... that was fun!

what on earth do you do with all those babies seems you hatch a lot of eggs .. LOL we all do but still Im curious anyways.

maybe close to the holidays they will start laying and soon after I will start hatching.

Keep I ear out.... I will let you know when they are laying. I usually give them a month or 2 to get things regulated. Then I will test them.... after that they will be available.

That makes two of us! My hubby keeps asking if the NH chicks I have are German.... They are not LAYING YET

So I get reminded often that I am waiting too

OH, I really want Germans too but I am afraid I already have more breeds running the place than I will have pens for in the spring. Let's see Marans x3, Am x2, Welly's, EE/SBEL, , JG, and Delaware if I can ever get any to hatch. and the Cochin's girls that just run around till they go broody. (3 broodys I just gave eggs to this week one with week old keets in broody pen, and 2 sharing the 5 wk old keets free ranging. Oh and the turkeys, and the Mystery ducks in the brooder,

I'm so confused !!, I don't know where they are all coming from

( but I have BCM hatching)

how do I know what kind of incubator to get there are too many to choose from and prices? Help

I am in the same boat but I will make room for the Germans. Right now I have some barnyard mixes, some Amish surprise, buff orps, RIR, black Aussie, guineas, barred rock, Mille fleur duccles, delawares, del x hamps, Rouen ducks, and a couple hundred meaties.


Don't get me started with what i have in the bator...
