Yup!!! I just put a few turkey eggs--need to go check the pen for any last minute eggs to put in.I think most of us quit hatching a few hatches ago....... but that is why we are here.
I wait about 12 hours to do the external pip for it...but I get impatientAny one hatch ducks?
I had one internally pip yesterday morning.so put it in hatcher. It talks and wiggles. No external pip yet.
WHen should I help?

Nope...chickies don't like wet. I have been selling my chicks & ducks faster than I can hatch them, so no lonely ducks here. They find new homes before they can soak the chicks too.HAAhaaa . . . I quit shipping till Rayvaughn put some W/BWS AM on the 24 Hr thread. then I caved. I have been setting a few of my own turkeys but it looks like the Tom isn't doing his job. His replacement is in the bator, I did get some Bourbons they are looking good. I really should get the Sportsman back to my customer, he said he doesn't need it till next spring (That's bad) but I am running out of room for grow out with all the different sizes. Small (a dozen or so) hatching every wk or so. Well a doz eggs in anyway, 2 to 9 hatching. I'm still working on it.![]()
I spooked up a mallard mix blowing walks at work and snagged 6 of the 11 eggs, they are doing great, were about 2 wks in already. I've found a few stragglers, mostly the ducks have stopped laying. I wish I could find the Muscovy nest. there are 3 or 4 of them on the lake.
She tempts me every time she puts them up. I had only 3 birds from another breeders eggs. 2 were roos and 1 pullet. Wow,sorry to hear that. Sounds like my luck with the Delaware and BJG. The Delly won't hatch for me and the Giants hatch late w/leg problems I can't fix. I know it is more my inexperience at hatching than anything else and it is frustrating that I am killing all these beautiful (not inexpensive) babies. She tempts me every time she puts them up. She died within an hour after I found her down. I sent the other roo off to the roo guy Saturday.![]()
