Incubators Anonymous

My incubator is such a sad sight right now. Only 2 dozen eggs in there with one dozen of them in lockdown. I gotta get more eggs in there soon! 2 dozen is almost empty for a sportsman isn't it? Time to hit up some auction I think!
I can fill that bator! I have them on the 24hr auction. I can make you a deal too

hi guys! i have been absent. i hate moving. i finally have to get the rest of my junk out of my old house because it sold and the cosling date is coming up. it is really interfering with my computer time.

anyone have a source of crested polish? i have a friend who wants some chicks and I told her if I can find them I'll hatch them.

So glad you are in your new house! Hope the cIosing on the old house goes smoothly. I can see moving has not interfered with your incubating time!

are we allowed to point out the names of good ebay sellers?
the current blue cochin eggs of mine [six eggs] came from a seller on ebay UK,and have been candling them all-every single one of them has a live chick,am totaly amazed.
ten days to go and counting!

the seller checks fertility often, all poultry are DEFRA registered and theyre all vetted every year.
she sells rare breeds [well theyre rare to us in the UK].
they have some very uncalled for negative feed back left on them though, woud say to anyone wanting to buy off ebay hatcheries to always check why they have negs or neutrals,as there are some delusional headcases buying on ebay who cause the problems themselves but blame the seller.
I wouldn't say any names or initials. I didn't say if for mine. I wouldn't want there to be negative feedback for that person if something happened that was out of their control. So, even if we are allowed or not, I personally didt not and will not mention names of negative experiences.

I'm glad you have been having wonderful luck and hope it continues.

ok, my hatching addiction now has a reason to continue...

raccoons got into my baby and broody pens last night, wiping out nearly ALL my babies.

my duelling broodies went from 16 to 2, all my loud calico cochins are gone as are all my self blues, except 1.

they didn't touch the mutt easter eggers.

so now i need eggs to hatch.

thankfully i didn't put my black broody cochin outside because her smallest (lost yesterday) was able to walk thru the 1" wire... and she is being the BEST momma ever, adding newly hatched chicks to her week old ones, and she just took the 2 left from my other broody cochins too.

so tonight all the broodies won't be broody anymore except my black girl who's still in the house. they'll be relocated to the big coop and locked up tight. in place of chicks and broodies those raccoons are going to find a 'dinner' waiting for them that will have serious side effects.
