Sorry, you got it upside down.
Hovabator Genesis is $190
Brinsea ECO 20 $99.00 (sale price)
So Styrobator is almost twice price of
Brinsea ECO.
I am still saying I would never pay $190 for a piece of styrofoam when you can buy more durable, more sanitary, easy to clean and longer lasting bator with better warranty for LESS.
No rocket science here.
The eco 20 "when its on sale" can only hold 20 eggs and does no have an automatic turner. Where as the gqf genesis 1588 can hold up to 42 eggs paired with the auto turner, not to mention hold temps just as solid as the eco 20 can. Its really kind of unfair to compair one bator with auto turning and one without since were discussing price. Throw in how much the auto turning cradel costs with the eco 20 then we have a fair assumption. Just ball parking it, I can get a 1588 with turner shipped from cutlersuply for about 175. I can get the eco 20 "when on sale" with turner for close to the exact same price as the other, but usually its just a tad more with shipping. For me what it boils down to is capacity, for some folks all they need is 20, but after you incubate for the first few times, more so than not you allways seem to be wishing for more space. You won't have that problem with the genesis. Both bators are right down to the wire on what the better buy is in my opinion, but the game winner for me is the space. I've allready outgrown my 1588 and are in the process of ordering another. The rails in the eco 20 can be finiky from time to time and sometimes need modification for different size hen and banty eggs, with the turner in the 1588 again for me I dn't have that problem. It all comes down to peronal preferance in the end, but my 2 cents is the Genesis 1588 is the winner of the two. Both bators are exceptionaly great at what they do, its just the ease of the operating system of the 1588 that has got me ready to order my 2nd one
some of the more innovative folks have figgered out how to get more eggs in the
brinsea they make dividers out of flashing to the original poster if you are a busy person with a job a
brinsea is probably the one you NEED if you can check the bator a coupla a times aday HB or LG but my only experiences is with the HB I bought a used one for $20 I have only turned it off twice to clean it I have hatched all of last year with it I kina know how it works with the
brinsea it will be a much shorter learning curve for you then a LG or HB my Hova is a 1602N if I find someone selling one reasonable I WILL buy another I like them a lot. HTH some good luck with your birds
