IncuCube Bator

It's all the way down where it says incucube inubator.. it wouldn't cool down in the colored part.. but then not much difference where it is now. I did get it to 97 once ..

Surely I don't have the knob on wrong????

I think you are turning it too much and not waiting long enough. When you get a new incubator any kind it needs to run without being adjusted much. You can take the the knob off and put it back on again it really should be where I have it. I too thought I did it wrong at first but after it ran a couple of days I got it adjusted. I haven't needed to move it much even when the temperature went up to 88 or so we're going to hit 100 this weekend and I'll be running it again so I'll see.

I moved it into the blue and it shot up to 116 deg.. Can you post a picture where you have yours at???? Thank you.. I'll leave it in the blue and see if it comes down.. Just would like to see where you have yours at..
thanks.

I'm cleaning it up to put more eggs in and I barely move it to adjust it very small adjustment I started mine in the middle and I think it went up to 112 right away so I started moving it down and it took me 3 days to get it right but I didn't move the knob very much those things are very sensitive but I thought it would run in the middle....so I moved it too much at first. Do you have water in it? Fill up one of your water channels (I have an early one with 5 cups I fill 2) that will help too. This is why you run an incubator a week before you set eggs every incubator has it's quirks it's up to you to figure them out and adjust....have fun like I said it took me 3 days

So far it is going well, my hygrometer decided to wonk out. Although it does read the steam from my coffee cup, inside the incucube, it's is a zero. I did check the cups twice and they are full...so I have no idea why it is not registering. I misted the top of the eggs with water...maybe the bottom of the turner can have some holes added to help with dispersing humidity. Now, my humidity is registering...backup to 40%.

I hope the chicks are OK.

I just checked it it's still at 115.7.. I'll see if I can get it set to where yours is . Nope don't have water in it yet didn't think I was supposed to have water in it yet.. .. will do that too. Thank you so much for the picture..

This is my first time ever with having an incubator.. Thank you for helping me..
I put water in one of the 5 cups and set it to where yours it.. just a few minutes ago. will go in and check it later today..

Checked it at 8:00 pm and its 115.9 ..

Pirtykitty, The knob on this bator has a very small set screw in it. What you need to do is loosen it a little and adjust the line on the knob so when you turn it in one direction it will go a little past the blue color and when you turn it the other direction it goes just past the red color a bit. After you get it adjusted right, tighten up your set screw tight. If you look on page 8 of this posting you can see where my knob sits for my temp to be right at 100 degrees. Hope this helps. Your set screw might be loose and when you turn it, it doesn't move the post that increases and decreases the temp. Good luck, I love mine. I had a better hatch in it than my new 1588 Genesis. Of course they were from different sources.

Thank you Lwartic,
Do you mean the little white line goes a little past the blue and the red?? and how tight should I have the screw when doing this and final tighten?? I'm new to this stuff so not sure..
thanks again

That's right, you tighten it just a bit and make sure it turns equally past the red and blue. It's only about 1/4 inch past each color. Once you get it adjusted right then tighten the set screw up pretty tight so it doesn't move on you. Just remember it should turn past the blue color and the red color the same amount, then adjust the line pretty much in the center between the blue and red straight up. Hope you can understand my rumbling. Good Luck.
