IncuCube Bator

update, update, update....

Went into lockdown 2 days ago on 36 cortunix quail eggs...this morning around 4am, 36 that I set, I have 17 hatched. so I am already calling this a successful hatch. I raised and maintained a humidity of 68% for hatch by filling the 4 cups that came with the bator...temp stayed 99.6 - 100.1F this entire incubation process in the IncuCube
I also turned by hand, and didn't use the autoturner for this hatch.

I am waiting for mine to hatch today. So far nothing yet, but i believe I see movement in all 12 of my eggs. I filled up the 5 cups of water, and I filled up the bottom of the incubator with water, but my humidity hasn't been higher than 53-54%, my temp has been steady. Did you do any thing else to up the humidity?

nope, I had two cups full during the incubation and 4 cups full for lockdown. with 4 cups full I was sitting at 68-70% humidity for the last 3 days.

I have silkies that should hatch Tuesday when I filled the 4 cups it went a little high to 75% but this morning it has dropped a little so I think it will not drop below 65. I did make holes for more air and a tube to add water.

my hatch is done I believe. out of 36 Coturnix eggs I have 18 that hatched, and are now in the brooder. SO not a bad hatch. Was hoping for a bit more..but this is ok.
