IncuCube Bator

Sorry for the no hatch. Sounds like your humidity could be too high though. Are you using a calibrated hygrometer? I use the dry hatch method and get a 90-100% all the time.
Hope you have better luck next time.

Very happy to report that I received my IncuCube today. The 5 water bowls have been replaced with two larger round bowls and the unit looks just fine, without anything chipped or missing. I'll fire it up tonight and try to get the temperature steady....I'm also going to try and find my digital temp/hygrometer with a probe. I don't know how to mount the included temperature/hygrometer because I don't think it will fit in the corner of the unit unless I place it diagonally on the ledge of the lid.

Anyway, I really like the look and the "feel" of it already. I think it's going to be a big seller!!

Received mine as well today. Well packaged and everything appears to be intact. I have it setup and getting it up to temp. I did "upgrade" to the egg-O-meter. it's a thermometer with an egg on the end of an elect cord. It's inside the incubator and the reader is outside. Does not give the humidity reading so I will be stopping by Walmart as some have suggested and look at what they offer to take care of that reading. So far I am very pleased with how it arrived and it went together easily. I am as green as grass to hatching so it's back to reading and making notes...

I received mine and unpacked it today. Everything looks fine. I've never hatched before, so it's all new to me.

Biggest question - How to you run the power cord for the turner?

Mounting the temp./hydro. is also an issue.

I used another outlet for it because it has a plug just for the turner the incubator has the pin that goes to the inverter and then that plugs in. Now I use saran wrap to line mine and I put extra holes for ventilation and to add water during lock down without opening it. I used a metal thermometer to make my holes because it's like an ice pick and I used a syringe to add the water. If you are going to do any of these things do it before you set the eggs and I'm going to take a picture for you to see what I did as right now I have 5 eggs in it to hatch Friday. I hatched out 11 silkies in it last week and it worked great.

I'll look for your photo. That will help a lot. I've got it on and warming up. I want to get everything set and stable. I probably won't add eggs right away. I've got my hands full with three broodies due to hatch Saturday, but one egg has already pipped. Now I have to scramble and get them all set up for hatching and play musical coops with some of the older chicks.

The eggs hatching were the original eggs I was going to incubate in it, but the shipment was delayed and I had the broodies begging for eggs.

Okay here you go

I have holes in the front and the sides not the back because I can't reach back there when I'm using it anyway next to it is the thermometer that I used for the holes. You can see the plastic wrap I used colored because it seems thicker than the clear and wow it makes cleaning up a breeze and when you add water I don't worry about the cups that plastic is on the bottom so I just squirt it in with the syringe that raises the humidity pronto.

this shot shows you the shelf lining under the eggs I don't put that in until lock down again it helps keep everything cleaner and little legs can't get stuck where they don't belong. Right now the temp is perfect 99.5 and my humidity is 65% I do the "dry hatch" method and it works just great.

Good luck with your new little incubator I like mine just need to get some of the new improved stuff that were done as we were testing them for the first time I still have the old style turner and the metal mesh and the 5 cups and I thought Randy said he was making a plastic liner for it too.
