Went downstairs last nite to turn my incubating eggs for the last time (day 18!) and found that the incubator was not closed exactly right

looks like they got down to about 90 degrees. Anyone have any Ideas on the impact that will have? Should I just toss the eggs now? will they run past hatch day? will it cause my chicks to be puny?

I know I know get an automatic turner for the bator....

I have had this happen to me. Mine still hatched but a day or two late. All babies were prefect!!! I would not toss them!!

They will probably all pip that were going to pip anyway, just maybe on day 22, 23, or 24. The big question is how long did the eggs stay at 90 degrees? As time in the incubator goes on the eggs dry out. If you though that the humidity was critical between days 18-21. By days 22, 23, or 24 the humidity will become extremely critical if the chicks are to have a good chance at a normal and healthy hatching.

Best wishes to you, and to your chicks.

Don't give up! The same thing has happened to me. Almost all of the eggs still hatched on day 21.
