Incuview Incubator

@aart
I'm really looking forward to your review of this once you do a hatch or 2. I have never used an incubator and I keep debating on getting one. (Of course I prefer broody...)

Reading reviews on here is very unconvincing. It seems like folks have had a lot of problems with the incuview, yet they defend it as well. Anyhow, I just want to purchase something once if I do. I keep looking at the brinsea in comparison to incuview. Mixed reviews on both, and there are "converts" and "detractors" for each of them.

I've followed this thread from the beginning. Yes, there have been problems(there are problems with most incubators), BUT the company's customer service seems to be beyond reproach.....many instances of instant replacement parts and support.

Anyone find a good way to separate eggs at hatch, to keep diff crosses separated, in this bator?
I can't remember who I stole this idea from but I built a "corral" from craft plastic, you know the kind with the square holes all over. I like this because it keeps them from playing too much soccer, only the ones in their section instead of all of them. I have used a little finger nail polish in different colors at hatch to keep them separate for a while.

this is an old pic i have gotten away from using the egg cartons..... they worked fine I just had a chick pip wrong end and die cuz I couldn't see it... without the carton the eggs can roll around and get into a better position. Or at least that's what I think..... lol just like anything I could be wrong

The bator in my last pic is simular to the incuview( a knock off maybe) I started my hatching a year ago with it... it was cheaper heald more eggs and I could see into it. I bought the brinsea in august and love that it holds temps rock steady. I still hatch in my knock off simply because it allows me to so staggered hatches and it is

easier to get the humidity up higher. In this pic I had removed some of the egg trays so I could hand turn the turkey eggs that were too big to fit in the trays. I bought the large egg trays for my next turkey run.... long and short is everyone has different needs and different tolerance to how much work to get a hatch.

Thanks. Do they stay in their sections after hatch?
Looks like they could easily get over those dividers,
maybe not if not using cartons?
I use zipties to mark chicks between bator and brooder,
but gotta keep them separate until they dry.
My foamy bator had hardware cloth dividers 4" high.

The dividers are just shy of the top so they stay in pretty well of course you always have that one.... lol
