I have a pair of Indian blue peafowl and was going to get a pied peahen to put in with them what would the birds be produced from them

Was hoping to get pieds but ohh well still nice to have a few pied splits

Have you good looked at your IB peacock .... may be it is a Dark pied!
Dark pied = some white feathers at the tips of the wings !

No he's not a dark pied he's a pure bred

Maybe, maybe not. A Dark Pied doesn't have to have any white on them at all. I have IB chicks from a pen with an IBBSWE cock over IBWE hens that throw White, Silver Pied, Pied, WE, and some of the IB chicks do not have any white showing on them but we know that both parents carry white so they are Dark Pied.

There are very, very few 'pure' IBs in the United States.

I'm Europe so I wouldn't know but my birds are top of the range with papers so I think there close to being pure anyway

Oh I am not saying that your birds are or are not 'pure', and being in the UK I have no idea at all. However here in the States it is estimated that nearly 70% of all IB's have some Spaulding in them.

Ohh I understand that's ok but that's interesting to know as well
