Hello!
I have dealt with bumblefoot for my pekin duck, but now I am seeing this on my runner. It looks different than what my Pekin duck had, is this bumblefoot? It looks like the top of her foot is also a little swollen around the ankle. I have been doing epsom salt soaps and used Vetryacin spray. Sometimes she limps, but not all the time. I let her run around on grass a lot. But when she's not, she's locked in her area which is filled with pine shavings. Is this what could be causing it and should I use a different floor for her?
Thank you!

Hello! She acts normal and runs all over the place. I havent tried pulling it out because I can't get the area soft. I switched from doing Epsom salt warm water soak every few days to every day but maybe I should do it multiple times. Now it scabbed a little more over and you dont see the white but its still in there because its a bump all around. Do you suggest I soak it more then pick?

With ducks puss is solid. So yes you need to get the stuff out.
Is the vet an option?

I've done it myself before successfully and will search for a guide here on the site for you. But a vet is the preferred way of course. It won't go away by itself probably.

Remove the scab first I would say, after thorough soaking.

Oh okay! Yes please share with me and I can try but I did have her at the vet a but ago, to get a general check up because her buddy died, and she was healthy. I asked them about the feet and this vet just said ducks get this a lot and to make changes to where they are walking but I didnt ask about removal because I thought changes would make it better. I have her walking along the grass as much as I can then her cage area is all wood flakes since it was grass then mud haha. Is there something softer? I dont know if that caused it or something in the yard maybe because the rest of her feet are perfect.

grass is perfect, my ducks sometimes (very rarely) have it too, Can be caused by something small like a sharp stone, a thorn or splinter. don't feel bad about your duck care!
