Indian runner ducklings

Does color or looks help with sexing?? One is more yellow then the other two
Can you tell what color runners these will be??

I believe the are fawn an white I have 2 and one has darker head than her sis. Love them little things

Vent sexing is traumatic no matter how gentle and starts the relation ship off with distrust

They are cute babies and they do look like fawn and white runners or at least they look like mine did. How sweet. I am personally not comfortable vent sexing ducklings even if I watch YouTube to show me how. They are tiny little things and it is just not worth it to me.

that's why I wanted you to see it. I knew I'd heard they had to be real young but I didn't know why. Haha, I still don't exactly know why but I figure Metzers probably knows what they are talking about!

They will be cute for sure but you can't sex by the color. You'll have to wait until they loose their little peeps and either quack or rasp like a frog.

Yellow feathers predominantly become white feathers when they get their adult feathers. Runners come in a lot of color varieties so color will not help with sexing at all.

@Miss Lydia might have a better guess to color variety you ended up with.

I have two adult drakes that are fawn and white so these will fit right in
I’m begging God that they are females please please please!! The small one Is a loud mouth already so I’m pretty sure she’s a girl ( Susan) but the middle one with the odd eye shape and darker head ( daisy) isn’t loud and is scaring me some

If you know what you're doing in terms of being actually trained, you can use vent-sexing to determine sex. Otherwise you'll just have to wait until they get their "adult voices" to see whether or not they quack.

Unless you've actually been trained, figure it's best not to vent sex because you can easily injure the ducklings.

NOT now you can't! Those ducks are way too old to do that! Do NOT do this!
