Indian runner X Pekin

I got a awesome suprise today when I went to see my ducks! My first duck egg! It's from a pekin gal that I just got. If it's fertile it will be a pekin X indian runner duckling. I have 3 fawn & white Indian runner males so the chances of it being fertile should be pretty good. I put it in my incubator so if it's fertile I'll know in about a week or so. Anyways, anybody have a Indian runner/pekin cross?? I would love to see what it might look like!

There’s really no telling what it will look like, as it all depends on what colour the Pekin is under the recessive white. So, they’ll be a surprise.

Hmm ok. Any idea what their body type will be? Will they be more stocky and stuff like a pekin or will they be more runner like?

Probably more stocky like a Pekin with perhaps a slightly more upright appearance. Should be between the two breeds if think.

Kenna, how did these ducks end up turning out? We have a beautiful female who we got off a lady, and we were told she was Pekin. I believe she was broody when we first got her a couple weeks ago, and this morning my daughter came across a blue-ish egg and we have never gotten one like that from our other 3 Pekin females. The only thing about Dory is her bill is colored. I tried looking online and it seems she may be an Indian Runner x Pekin mix, so I was curious to see how these turned out! Thanks
