INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Amwchickin- I'm so sorry!! This had to all be awful. You have a great attitude about starting over. Thinking of you. And you DID do the right thing.

So here's a question for someone..... I thought I'd fix beans and cornbread for dinner!! Sound good?? Rainy, crappy out so comfort food!! So I'm fixing the cornbread mix and picked an egg that I thought would be a double. Well it was.... One yolk was good and the other looked like a bleached gizzard!!!! Eeewwwwwwhhhhhh!!!! And f course I'd not cracked it in a separate bowl and had to dump it all.. Any ideas?? No idea which specific chicken this came from. Other than it was an EE.

Too fast- fun pics!!

And I got home to every chicken in the barn, pouring down, and one stupid silkie was still out!!! They are not bright!!!

Eeeewwwwww exactly about the egg. And for the comfort food, I'm making some chile right now. My rain gauge shows almost 1.5'' so far, and the rain is really coming down now. The chickens were out in the back yard earlier, now they are hanging out under the coop. And yeah, it was a lot of fun out in the go karts with the Indy Car drivers, don't know if that will ever happen again!

I wasn't judging..promise!  I trust my fellow INBYCers!  ;0)  Give you all XOXO cuz I feel like I have a huge extended Fam!  I am going for Olive anyways so it just gives me a jump start!  lol  Maybe it will change a bit too...I'll post a pic next chance I get!

i didnt think you were, sorry if it came off that way. Good luck with making some OEs

Emus lol.   Be fun to have around for a while, but we don't have a big enough area.   Maybe Racin???

i wa going to hatch emu eggs and keep some but i am going to wait 5 or 10 yers and see if t still sounds apealing to me. it woyld take a lotbof work. There are a few people on BYC that have emus and rheas I know a guy that lives close ti me that has oth plus many other exotics

Brd- I thought that was agood price too!! I have no idea what kind of requirements they would need!!

I have talked to people that own them. The recommend a very sturdy fence at around 6ft tall. lots of other info too. One the ends of there winds thy little claws. They are pointless as they cant use them.

That is a great price for them too! I've looked into it and was going to fence in my whole two acres for them but decided I would never get my money back out if it if I sold the house. I just need to find a place that has more acreage, large barn, and pasture.

that is a great price for them! I full intened to own some no more than 15 years from now but would like to in more like 10 years
