Some of the littles went outside for the first time today before it gets really cold. They didn't know what to make of it. 4 Of them are leaving Saturday for their new home. Sad. I know they are going to a really good place though.

Also - do you notice any fumes when the heat tape is running? 

I have a heat tape on some pipe in my barn, it's never smelled. This is my second season using it.
I wonder if I could put a heat tape on my trash can that has my fermented feed in it??

Oh and then there's this little beauty... She is one of the three that just showed up outta nowhere.

isnt there a leghorn hybrid that has spots like this. Possibly from ideal poultry.

Brad, I don't know I looked they the breeds on this site and she looks to me like she might have some type of Game bird in her and maybe white leghorn. I don't know. I'm going to name her "dazzle" cuz she sure Dazzles me.
RacinChickens, she has ALL grey feet including the bottoms. I was kinda leaning toward Australorp on her but the legs n feet thru me.

That's what I was thinking were California Whites. Weird thing is the description says the adults are white with black spots, but all of the pictures I've seen of adult California Whites are just pure white.

Pipzip, thanks for reply. I kinda thought the one was a black Sexlink just wasn't sure. Is there any breed that has totally grey legs n feet? Hers are totally grey.

Ok so I'm calling her a California White then thanks. She seems to be a little broody. She won't let me take her egg and only comes out of the little coop area once or twice a day for like three minutes.
