My pekin are still laying, and were even in december.
It doesn't seem to effect them the same.

I REALLY want some runner ducks, so put me on the list. I'd only like a couple...Any info on the next upcoming show in Indiana. I went to the poultry show website but almost all of the dates are for last year. I also know that some of the more local shows don't get listed.
next is there anyone breeding khaki campell ducklings in central Indiana. Or would anyone want to split an order. There is ideal, welp, murray, lots of places taking orders for ducklings, but I really don't want 15. I was thinking more of 2 for me.
Great to hear from you again! Have fun catching up,it seems like things are starting to pick up again.I'm still catching up on posts, but decided to take a break (at pg.1968) from reading and check in by posting. I am finally back in the swing of things after a bad week with an ill daughter, having my favorite hen, Jersey, put to sleep, dealing bitterly with the cold!, and getting behind with work (and the thread!) Now Lauren is back at IU and I took my remaining 6 hens out beyond their fenced area for the first field trip they've had in a week. It's interesting to watch their behavior since their leader is gone. They've seemed a little lost and they are all testing each other. Tomorrow is supposed to be 53 and sunny, so we'll enjoy a great day outdoors.
I have to admit that I was kind of dreading the daunting job of catching up on the thread, but it has been very interesting and I've learned a lot of things as usual! I've never "skipped" because I'd feel like I missed something! But I realize that I typically have more time than most of you.
I love the photos of bradselig's beautiful bantam cochins and #14 pullet, kabhyper's funny fluffy silkies, goatluver's pretty hens (cool names, too!), chisNchickens tiny silkie and puppy babies and amazing Sebrights, minmin's handsome roo (hope his eye is better!) Hope Kiniska's insulation-eating chickens are warmer now. Hope Ardizzone's mite problems have improved. Hope hogster's frostbitten chickens--and others, too, are healing. What a picturesque scene that brown cow posted! It's always good to read from our faithful, experienced contributors like jchny, SallyinIndiana, CCCHICKENS, Leahs Mom, Pipd, racinchickins, Too Fast, Peaceful Walls, and many more. I probably should not have named names since I can't name everyone!

hehehehehe....
After up untill midnight - an hour tlking to a wonderful BYCer I will be meeting in person next weekend, cant wait to meet you, I have not found anything that that is going to keep me up nights if I continue to sell to this person. It's like you said, I cant help what a person does with my eggs after they leave my house with my eggs.I don't think it can come back on you. You can't control what they do with the eggs after they get them. It like if someone buys a rooster from and then decides to fight it. They may get int trouble if people find out, but they wouldn't be able to come at you for something someone else did. It all beyond your control, so therefore not your fault. This is how I see it anyways, maybe I am wrong.
