I caved. I plan on getting my pullets friday, but I couldn't resist these two little ones. They were the smallest in the brooder, and getting ran over, soooo I brought them home. Just two of them, I think they are khaki campbell, but I really don't know. They were straight run all breeds. I guess it will be a surprise. We are giving them flock raiser and poly vi sol for niacin, is there anything else they need? I am completely dumb when it comes to ducks. They have a little stuffed doggy in the brooder and they love it. One little guys will not shut up. Omgoodness, its a loud one.

Sooo cute! I don't know if you've read about this yet or not, but ducklings cannot be given medicated feed. And be prepared -- they grow FAST!!

It isn't medicated, it's just purina flock raiser. The other feed that we have is medicated its what the silkies are getting for coccid immunity. I dont have brewers yeast, so I put ppoly vi sol in their water. The littler one sits on its butt and runs like a runner duck and unless we are holding him, peeps constantly. If I put my hand in he jumps onto it and climbs up my arm. The other one is heavier bodied and sits like a normal duckling and hasn't made a peep. If anyone has breed ideas let me know, I was thinking khaki, but they are totally different body types.

these lol like khaki to me. When i first got mine as ducklings they looked just liked these. I will have to find pics of mine when they was this age and pics of them now for you. Sent from my N861 using Tapatalk

Curtis that was me. I got ducklings. They have totally different body types and stances. Could one be a runner or a swedish? They didnt have runner ducks on the list but he sure acts like one.

With those black beaks and feet I'd almost guess they were Cayugas, or black runners.
Mine look kind of like that.... I'm no duck expert though.
You can grab yourself some brewers yeast at a GNC, Vitamin Shoppe or a health food store. I haven't seen anyone on BYC say that poly sol will provide the necessary niacin...
Be prepared for a mess in the next tell weeks!
I have learn SO MUCH on here. There are a couple people on the duck section that will answer any questions really quickly.

They are too cute with the dog. If they only stayed the small and clean, I would still have ducks lol! They do look khaki campbells
