INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Anybody know anything about pigeons (not the wild ones flying in your barn lol)?

Do they do well with snow? I am thinking it probably doesn't bother the dumb pigeons that hang out i the hay maul in my barn.

I am thinking about adding a few pigeons next year.

OK thanks everyone. I go on vacation starting Tuesday so I can start work on the new coop. I'll get some pictures too. Wondering how I am going to cut a door out though since we have no electric for any tools lol.

Can you borrow a cordless reciprocating saw or circular saw from someone? One fresh battery should be plenty to cut a door.

No electric at all or just none near by? We had to use hundreds of feet of extension wire (I think that is what they are called lol, the name is just escaping my mind) to build one at my grandpa's. You can always use a hand saw though it is time consuming. I usually have people cut wood for me, because I have had the power saws kick back at me. I prefer to use hand saws, but if someone is there willing to cut it for me, why not? Don't get me wrong though you can still hurt yourself with hand saw, trust me lol(all due to my own stupidity).

Or this! Hand saws are awesome!

No electric at all. I may use my Lowes gift cards from my birthday and buy a sawzall. Wonder if they have the ones that go cordless or corded.

We're getting ready to build a new house on the property so have the electric off. No point in paying two electric bills when no ones out there but chickens.

So for $50 at Lowes I can get a battery reciprocating saw. Any recommendation on brand. The $50 ones include Skil kobalt black and decker. Or for $13 more I can get a 20 volt kobalt. So many choices!
