INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

ok cool I will check and see what day DH has taken his Vacation on  and will let ya know.

She I think was pushed or fell off the perch, I didn't see the actual event but seen her falling to floor of the coop. she got up and would not put any weight on it, I picked her up and moved the leg and could feel the popping in the joint.  Then 2 weeks latter she was just on the ground and struggling to get up and a rooster topped her and she threw a fit. I picked her up and she had the same pooping in the other leg. They were both in the joint. So I couldn't set and wrap them tried it didn't work.

Sounds good. Good luck with honey and your other girl

The bird in this video has an advanced case of gapeworm - just so you can compare your girl.. It may not be gapeworm in yours.

Sometimes they will ingest something like long grass that makes them do that kind of neck stretching as they keep trying to get the longer pieces down their throat.

You'll have to observe a bit and see if she has the "gasping for air" kind of sound.

If not, I'd wait a bit and observe. If it goes away in a day it is likely just trying to get something down that's stuck.

Here is a bit of info on gapeworm:

It is "possible" that her problem is a niacin or riboflavin deficiency.

Vitamin D3 and Choline deficiency can also cause this. See: http://www.merckmanuals.com/vet/pou...ry.html?qt=vitamin deficiency&alt=sh#v3348007

The fat soluble vitamins (D3, A, E, K) are especially susceptible to degradation as soon as grain is ground so fresh feed is especially important.

For niacin and riboflavin, you can feed raw liver chopped tiny enough for her to eat. Also Brewers yeast is a natural source but has a high phosphorus to calcium balance.

For vitamin A& D, FERMENTED cod liver oil is a great source (not the typical cooked kind you find on the shelf in the store.) http://www.greenpasture.org/public/Products/CodLiverOil/index.cfm Just the plain kind works great!
I use Poultry Cell once a week in everyone's water. It has everything you have listed above in it. and She has been getting it 2x a week now that she is in with Honey due to her not acting right.

OK thanks everyone. I go on vacation starting Tuesday so I can start work on the new coop. I'll get some pictures too. Wondering how I am going to cut a door out though since we have no electric for any tools lol.

No electric at all or just none near by? We had to use hundreds of feet of extension wire (I think that is what they are called lol, the name is just escaping my mind) to build one at my grandpa's. You can always use a hand saw though it is time consuming. I usually have people cut wood for me, because I have had the power saws kick back at me. I prefer to use hand saws, but if someone is there willing to cut it for me, why not? Don't get me wrong though you can still hurt yourself with hand saw, trust me lol(all due to my own stupidity).
