Boo, my last chicks didn't give me a proper chick fix because they were broody raised by my evil BLRW who would flog me whenever I made an attempt to touch them. Not letting her hatch again! Plus she is super ditzy and kept losing 1 of them. Seriously....if you can't count to three you for sure don't deserve to be a mother.

Maybe she was letting that 1 chick have a time out for being annoying. But yes I have a broody now with 3 chicks and she knows where they are all of the time.

Bwahahahahahahah after more than a year on the site I just realized that I had to go someplace special to see my ovations. I thought it a bit strange that I had never received one.....and actually saw that I had more than 500 (many with comments and questions that I had never responded to!). YOU DO LOVE ME!!!!!! Ha ha ha. Anywhoo, I apologize to anyone who wondered why I never responded. Is there a way to get notifications of ovations? I'm off to explore that.

If you are looking for just any rooster, we have more than a few that will be processed this month through November.  You are welcome to come get a nice sized rooster for $10 or I have 1 giant red rooster for $20.  The $10 roosters include reds and sumatras.

Aw, thanks for the offer, but I'm looking more for a bantam rooster since I have bantam hens in my flock. My little Sebrights would be crushed underneath a big rooster!

Aw, don't feel bad! The only reason I knew about it was because I check the Announcements board a lot and they posted an announcement when they debuted Ovations. I don't know if there's a way to set them to give you a notification, at least onsite, but all you have to do is check your profile and you can see if you've gotten any new ones.

Well, we have one wall of the duck coop put together and painted, only needs the hardware cloth on the vent. It'll need another coat of paint, too, because the hens have been walking on it. Such great helpers. I guess that's what I get for painting it during free-range time.
