Good timing too! How many eggs are they sitting on?
LOL timing! It's contagious I tell ya! I cannot break Snow (the white) from brooding ever. She would try to hatch ice cubes on a bed of nails. I gave her 5 tonight. I think they are all silkie eggs, although some may be barred or gold laced bantam cochin/ black cochin roo or polish roo cross. Oliver my cochin and Tom Petty the polish have been busy with my cochin girls. Henley (partridge) is two weeks in tomorrow on 6 paint silkie eggs. She started with 8 but two were clear, so I tossed them so she would have more room under there. Anyone need chicks?

Who's going to the Lebanon show next Saturday? I'll be there.

ME ME ME!! Mom and I will be there! :D

Speaking of, those of you that have been there, what is the buying protocol? Do you have to wait until after the show to buy birds? Are there cages sold with the birds or do I need to bring some with me? Haha, I still need to finish my quarantine pen. :hide Better work on that tomorrow! (Can y'all tell I'm getting anxious about it? )

There will be people there selling as soon as the barn opens. People sell all throughout the show and you have to bring your own cage

Okay, I think I'm all set then! I just have to load up the cages I want to bring. In theory, I won't need many as I only plan on bringing a pair or trio of ducks home. :D We'll see how that works out.

P.S. I just found something that made me super happy. Duck genetic calculator!! :celebrate http://kippenjungle.nl/kruisingEend.html

How have you been?  I'll admit to scanning most of the posts lately but I seem to remember a toe injury due to flip flops then possibly a fall making hard to get around and spend time with your birds.

I have the classic mixer my MIL gave me, maybe 20 years old and it didn't miss a beat. We did about 18 lbs in one sitting last time. I was impressed for sure. Simple to clean and I went that route for the exact reason you mentioned. .I did not want to add another appliance to my kitchen space!

Five star purchase! !
