INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

So I have been looking and window shopping this for well over a year.

It is not my favorite way to raise the chicks but it does save space.

If anyone sees it on sale or a used one at a swap, please keep me in mind. I would like to get a used one for $350 or less and a new one for $575 or less.

Or if anyone wants to design and build me a wooden setup similar to the metal GQF ones, please message me with details and a cost estimate.

Last post, I promise

Thanks!

LOL you aren't kidding! We had 13 people crammed into the house sunday for our Thanksgiving. UGH

Thanks! Hope yours was wonderful as well.
So sorry to hear about your hatch!
I had a peachick with this too. Tylan resolved it for me but if you have a vet available, I would definitely see them.

:love oh soooo tiny! What type of geckos?

They are created geckos. They are by far the easiest reptiles to own. They require room temps (over 85F can be deadly for them), no I've lighting as they are nocturnal, and best part, NO INSECTS! They have developed a meal replacement powder you mix with water for them to eat. They typically eat rotting fruits in wild so they have no issues accepting this diet. You can supplement with insects if you want. I will for growing hatchlings and breeding adults for the extra protein. Overall they are a very docile species, great for beginners.

Noticed changes in my Modern Game bantam pair last few days, my tiny hen has begun nesting, and her proud lil rooster stands there encouraging her. Neither weigh even 1 lb. Today, I hear the start of the egg song, no eggs yet!

Both are still totally sweet and friendly. They are staying in the heated garage now, just are not hardy for below freezing temps. DH is watching the auctions for a large parrot cage for them, I can modify for a better set up, more roosts etc. Right now they are in a jumbo wire dog crate, I would like to give them better arrangements. I think he likes them more than I

He said he will build a nice house for them if we don't find one soon. (He named them after the Johnny Cash song "long legged guitar pickin man".) Forgive the picture quality being so washed out, this phone is newer but 3 years old lol. Johnny is a blue splash and it doesn't do justice to his colors and red comb, Frankie is black but her face looks redder also.
here is Johnny & Frankie in front:

What size do the adults reach? I probably won't ever do reptiles again, but you never know lol! I have not kept gecko yet but they have always interested me. Have had several iguana, some monitors and some other assorted lizards. A few larger snakes.
ETA I claim post 36,000! WTG guys we are a chatty group.

Like max of 9" if the keep their tail. Cresties are an unusual lizard species in that if they drop their tail, it will not grow back. It is also a prehensile tail like a monkey. I have a pair and watching my brothers girl friends male.
Here is my female

My male (obviously lost his tail at some point. Reminds me of a frog butt!)

And the male I'm taking care of. He is by far the best looking out of the older ones

And 2 other hatchlings
