INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Anyone here. I'm interested in acquiring a Salmon Faverolles Roo and some Wheaton and Blue Wheaton Ameracaunas. I was so wanting the AMs but the small batch of eggs I had shipped didn't hatch. Now I want them Bad! Lol!

I've all but given up on shipped eggs. Some people have the best of luck but the gamble is too much for me. More often than not my hatched eggs did not hatch or only a chick here and there. And with the cost of shipping the eggs were pricey.

I hope you find a breeder.

We have a chick the dosent fully extend its legs to walk. It sits down a lot compared to the 15 others. We are new to chickens. Any advice? It eats, drinks, is passive compared to the others.

Thanks! I know what you mean. I had never bought hatching eggs before this year. Had 8 hatch from about 2 dozen this spring then this last batch I think I only got 6 or 10 can't even remember now. I wasn't impressed for sure. I didn't have high hopes but the batch of 2 dozen I got from 2 different breeders and for the $$ I spent and the bird quality from those hatches I was very unhappy. I would much rather see the bird cuz I now just have some poor quality Roos I need to get rid of. I won't sell them. Thats how sad they are. Anyways...another pricey lessons learned!

I wouldn't be too sad about your hath rate. I would be thrilled to hatch 10 from 2 dozen. Now quality is a whole other story, you never really know what you are getting.
