I'm just outside of New Pal, near the Links golf coarse. I have quite a few birds... barred rocks, RIR's, Light Brahma's and about to get a fresh batch of Cornish X's for meat. Also about to start raising a few hogs.

Cluck Acres- What a relief to finally know who the predators are! And you should post your hero rooster's photo. I like the idea of stringing the flag pennants like you see at car dealerships. Ha. Just put a few used cars out, too, and you could honk the horns as an additional warning! I bet your wife would love it-- how is she getting along now?

Here is the hero's pictures. My wife is doing fine. The baby should be here any day now. I told her we will probably will be in the hospital during Easter. LOL

Well, Ilooked outside and saw one of my hens laid out on the lawn. I checked her throat, nothing but a bit grass. I think she had an egg stuck. She was still warm when I found her. I guess I'm cleaning a chicken now...

What does everyone use as chicken treats?????

My girls love everything. Cornbread is a favourite. Rice with peas, sweetcorn and sour cream. Although crickets from the bait shop and muched loved by them all too as well as being fun.

I am sorry to hear that. I know you were talking about cleaning a chicken in some previous posting. Did you ever get around to it?
