Family lap dog did it 16lbs of vicious papillon mutt. Never saw it coming and thought the coop was safe

oh my, I am so sorry.

Looks more like a bunker than a coop now. It is supposed to be temporary so We used an empty horse barn and repurposed material to make the coop with plans for a nicer one this summer now it will include a concrete foundation on the coop and an electric fence around the run

its not my pic but thats the stuff
Yep, add it, says right on the label its safe for poultry

I keep a list of what the expiration dates are too. I have had the kit long enough now that a few things are getting close to expiration. I just have a ziploc bag taped to the inside on the tote that it slides into, and i can peek at it when I go to the farm supply store.

well i let my dogs outside for a few mins they ran off ok thats normal but they come when i call them but not this time all 3 of my dogs ran away or something got them or they got stolen :/ i hope they come back soon i need to go to bed soon

Welcome to novafrk! Does your screen name mean that you are a fan freak of the show NOVA? Just wondering. We're glad you joined the Indiana Thread!

CluckAcres~ Best wishes to you, your wife, and family.

kristyG~ Sad to hear about the dog attack.

animallover~ SO glad Amber is better!!! Better not let your dogs run-- you've read many posts, including kristyG's about dogs attacking livestock. Plus, the dogs can get injured, which can mean big vet bills.

bradselig~ Loved your pictures. I especially like the baby EE because of its markings, which reminded me of the reason I've always like tiger/tabby cats with their dark stripes and wild markings.

LAMom: congrats on the sebastopols--look forward to seeing them in the shows!

CluckAcres: How exciting!

Novafrk: welcome!

KristyG: How awful! I've lost several at a time to coon raids in the past. It's devastating.

Animallover: I keep VetRX around--it has a lot of uses.

Hey all,

New to the forum. I am just starting my chicken flock. I'm on the south side of Indy and look forward to being a part of the forum.

Eric (Novafrk)
Welcome Eric. You will find you have 1,000 posts to go thru if you don't check your Indiana BYC'ers thread daily. I think this is a good thing.

We are new to this, our first flock ever. Learning a lot!
