Anyone near Ft. Wayne that is good with incubating chicken eggs? I have German Bielefelders that should start laying any day now. I have one roo and two hens. I've tried incubating in the past with my styrofoam 'bator
with not a lot of success. I'd split the chicks maybe?

I'm about 30 mins south of ft Wayne and have a sportsman cabinet incubator. let me know if interested as we can work something out

I'm in need of a couple banty hens. I have a pr. of Silver Duckwings, roo and hen, and I'd like to put another hen or two with the roo. Let me know what you may have for sale.

Looks like I may be having a processing day this coming Saturday morning the 23rd. I always open this up as a teaching opportunity for anyone who wants to learn how to humanely process chickens (or other poultry). Others who may have birds needing to have their 'One bad day' are also welcome to come and use my equipment.

If you are interested, send me a pm.

I know have a mixed goat kid. She is adorable. I'll get pictures soon. Her mother needed a tiny bit of assistance and lots of "doula" work all day Friday in the rain, but both mom and baby are doing well.

If anyone is interested in a few weeks I'll have a half Nubian half Oberhasli doe for sell. She comes from good milking lines on the Nubian side and the Oberhasli side. Already her mom has an abundance of milk. Oberhasli are known for their playfulness so this is a wonderful combination for a family with children. the Nubian lines are good at getting fat into their milk for cheese and such.

Here is a good site with basic info on the breeds.

I have several LF salmon faverolle pullets available! I am starting to have too many breeds/varieties/projects and need to start cutting. 2 are quite older and outside on grass. The 3 or 4 other are in garage but fully feathered and will be out on grass this week (hopefully). Let me know if anyone is interested. Would like to move fast and price will reflect!

Hey brad you have any pics of that blue fav? I might be interested in that one

My newest goat and her mom. My DH likes her mom the best of all of our moms as she is still small. I'm still in awe that she was able to get pregnant. She's not even a year old now.

For those of you with milking goats or cows, how do you recommend straining the milk? I have been using a tea strainer but I just feel like the holes tiny as they are are too large. But coffee filters are too dense. I looked in RK and in TSC over the weekend for anything called milk filters or milk strainers. Both stores had nothing. lots of options for udder balm but no milking supplies, not even udder wipes. I've been using soapy water and baby wipes to wash the milking area but thought if there were actual udder wipes I would use those instead.
