Well, the broody hen has not shown any cannibalistic tendencies since she and her clutch have been separated from the flock. :fl
She hatched one other chick, and she's shown herself to be the good mom we'd been used to.
Still keeping our eyes peeled...

Hi, all. I know I haven't been terribly active here in the past months, but I thought I would stop by and let those of you who admired her through my pictures and stories that my beloved Frou-Frou left us today. I am beside myself with grief at the moment, so apologies for the lack of detail. I'm just without the words right now.

Thinking of you and yours right now. What a lovely girl she was and thanks for sharing her with us on BYC. :hugs

Hi, stumpfme

Glad to hear from another fellow chicken-person.

Are your chickens three weeks old?

That would be great if you could tell the sex of a bird by its legs. Maybe you can for Leghorns, I don't have any Leghorns so I can't say about their leg color. With the breeds I have, the leg color doesn't determine the sex.

Do you have pictures of your chickens you can post? Would love to see them.

My leghorns are a few months old I bought them from a lady in town who helps me when I run into problems yes I have pics I took today I'm not sure how to post them on here yet
