INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

OK totally unrelated to poultry or waterfowl. Some of you know my DH, Brad. Sooooo we were up pretty late Tuesday night, until about 130am. DH finally reached a deal with a guy to trade our little stepside truck for a bike... after all, who needs 2 trucks anyways? He is pretty happy today. He and I have loved riding all our lives. Yes Its low enough I can ride it too. Love the neon green ground effects, no question being seen at night.
I love bikes! My girlfriend use to ride and go to the boogey (sp? Lol) she said they sound like they are saying "Potato, potato potato" haha...so of course now every time I hear one thats what I say! Congrats! Always great to check off that bucket list!

Shoulda got a crouch rocket they are so much more fun and not nearly as loud... "Hog" style bikes always give me a headache and I think the average person who rides them is a "look at me" moron(no offence) but on the other hand that is a pretty cool looking bike but do me a favor and put a proper muffler on that thing so I don't have to hear it coming from a mile away

"No offense" but I've always thought only "douche #%*!" (Not sure which word to leave out! Haha) chose to ride crotch rockets!

OMG! Really! This new Silkie boy has got to go! While in quarantine he was fine. New to the flock not so bad. Penned for breeding now and he is a terror! Not to the hens but to people! I hadn't latched the kennel just out of absent mind and they got out into the garage...well I stepped foot out there and he came at me like nothing I've ever seen before! I just about fell backwards up the step because it all happened so fast!

I'll probably be eating another festive Blue chicken but just in case...anyone interested in a Black Silkie Roo? Haha!?!

See I grew up thinking only a hole biker thugs got hogs.. But frankly it's like stereotypes yes ech probably has them but each also has nice guys too I just don't like the overly loud bikes it's not hard to put a muffler on it... There's no reason those bikes have to be overly loud... They bother entire neighborhoods when they pass by crouch rocket/pasta rockets don't because most are quite.. It's like the idiot import people who get those fart cans on their mufflers that are for no reason loud.. I love imports but come on really... Get a performance muffler they actually improve horsepower and are quite...

Quote: We have had them. We are 50 + and little too old for the lay down go fast bikes! Here is the thing... LOUD bikes are heard and noticed, so you don't get run over. I understand the noise offends, and sorry but the straight pipes are staying. My uncle, moms brother nearly died in a wreck. They didn't see or hear the bike and got hit. My dads brother died at 19 for the same reason. Its not to be a "biker type" its a safety issue.

Quote: Its for the younger crowd for sure! I had a seca 600, dh had a yamaha 600 lotta fun in the old days.

Ohhhh yeah! I had a silkie fella named butters. Sweet as pie, sit in your lap. Give him chicks or hens, and he turned physco and attacked you!

I chased him using a darned broom to get him back into the kennel as he frantically did backflips attacking it! Geez! No time around here for that nonsense! Haha! Silly bird! No doubt that not a thing would get near his girls without going through him first!

Its terrible to go through. I have been really fortunate here. Our neighbors have the same interests fortunately and are just good, normal people. We had a real nutcase over in anderson, don't miss it a bit.

Loved the pics! Very first, is it partridge? Love the color.

Wow lots to think about! Go with what your gut tells you, I have passed up so many things I now regret. I have also made some choices were not the best!
Yes he is a Partridge but his color aint up to par. As far as I know the sliver neck feathers are really supposed to be more of a gold. lol but he is pretty, I was going to sell him but I think I want to try and breed him to my black next spring and see what I get.

I am looking online to try and get a pic of a week old Partridge Rock chick, I have an unusual colored chick and that is the only guess I have left but I cant find a "chick" pic to compare her with. If anyone can help me out with that I would be grateful.

Maybe he could go to a wildlife sanctuary...
