Got our registration done today with BOAH so we are in compliance with the new laws. I added all poultry and waterfowl we currently keep, and also cows & sheep, we have had some discussion about sheep recently. I am really not sure I want to fool with them, but am reading up on it.
Its free, you can do it online HERE

Not required to register for backyard poultry. But I raise hogs and goats, so there is additional new laws for them also.
I understand its been implemented due to AI.
I really do NOT like ear tags either. I guess tatoo ID is acceptable in goats and sheep.Guess I'll be filling out their form tonight too then as I have goats.
I chose tattoo ids for my goat. I can't say they are the best option as you have to be very close to see the tattoo and even then sometimes a flashlight is needed. But they can't be ripped out of the ear or cause any future injury other than the original pokes.
For the goat tattoo, I got the letters and numbers from the ADGA when I signed up as a member there. Its a combination of herd ID and year of birth and order of birth in that year. Pretty smart as it makes it harder to lie about a goat's age.
