INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Jhfamily5- thank you for the offer! Very thoughtful. I really don't need any more chicks lol, especially bantam breeds as the eggs are much harder to sell. If anything, I'd just want another silkie or two which I just located a breeder locally while buying bedding today. Thanks again for the offer thugh!
You are very welcome. Hehe...I hear that.

We are on chick overload here but loving every second of it.

I need some help identifying this one. I have four of them and they were marked Amber Links. I am beginning to doubt that is what they are. They are not get much if any color on them. They are 6 weeks old. Can anyone here help identify?
ellymayRans~ Here's a suggestion to help you stand out and greet fellow BYCers. haha

Looks like I'm gonna be getting more sand for the chicken yard.

So, so much rain. The hens are not amused.

Welcome to everyone I missed!

Getting a bit huffy about people making fun of me or worse, not even raising chickens yet telling me i should have them outside & stop babying them cause they're just stupid chickens. I was told to stop naming them. I just contacted them & informed them to worry about themselves & until they're raising chickens (like the kid thing) keep their opinions to themselves. Ok needed to vent lol

I have chickens AND kids...I should have had chickens first! Just joking!
We have more roos than we wanted to start with so we are looking to order some more chicks....where is the best place in Indiana to order from? We are just looking for good layers this year. Next year we will be looking for one or 2 for our 4-H boy to show.
Thanks in advance.

I know I could Google all of these questions I am asking but I would rather hear..er..see it from people involved in it instead of ones who have just researched it then does.

I really understand that I am going through the same thing but my chicks are 2 weeks and in the house because it is still to cold out. They just dont understand. I was told just to put they out if they live they live you can always get more. I have named all of mine. My son helped me and I just want to share what we came up with. January, Feburay, March, April, May, June, July, August, Setember, October, November, December, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That is out chicks we have two turkeys named thanksgiving and Christmas. we had monday but she did not make it.

Sir buster- yeah I've been having to educate everyone on the outside thing too!! They don't understand how warm they have to be and how delicate they are early on!! Love the names!! You should go to the Show at Bloomington this weekend. Lots of our BYC people will be there and do shows and could direct you on purchases for shows.
