INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

400
.as I mowed for the first time this year, I had these pretty yellow lawn ornaments wandering around.
I love to mow, so the couple hours it takes me, I get to think :)

Ok DH is about to bust a gut laughing at me. He says I am an over protective mom. With the nasty storms heading here tonight I ended up stapling 2 blue tarps along the coop. I wanted them to be safe. Possibility for hail, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, or 80 mph straight line winds.
If he only knew I wish i had a barn to put them in. I will be up all night. Did anyone else freak during first big storms as a new chicken owner?

I wish we had a barn too! I have to put a timer on the bantam babies coop heat lamp. Temp isn't supposed to drop til 1 or 2 am... but they aren't used to 40s! I was a mess my first chickens when it stormed. Watching out the window dreading the coop getting abliderated.

Its been storming and raining here ALL day long. The yard is flooded. My poor flock is soaked and wont go into coop. My fluffy girls dont even look fluffy. and my white silkies are not even white anymore but black.

Oh, the rain... I have a river running right through my chicken yard... All my sand is washing away again... UGH! And there are very unhappy, wet hens, too... I'm almost looking forward to dry heat over the summer. :th C'mon, heat wave!

I freak every time there's a storm. I don't want anything to happen to my babies! (Also, I'm afraid of storms... )

Hoping for the best with your kitty, CluckAcres! :fl
