INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Another question just popped into my brain just now, I have an EE that lays blue eggs, I see everything saying they can lay blue, green, and pink eggs, so does one chicken lay all the colors or if it lays blue it'll always lay blue? Thanks

it will more than likely just do blue. it depends on breeding, not age or the day of the month or the weather....

I got them to hold still for pictures. they are Bantams from TSC. Ideas on breeds are welcome, lol. Yep just what you wanted to hear

L to R Hershey, Nestle, Spot, (?), Wren, (?),(?)Sharpie the three yellows with feathered feet aren't named yet, well except for being known as bald butt and derp.....

I think this was Baldy since that's the nosier chick that escaped the other day.

... Not so helpful when trying to screw on a door.
Aww, they're just checking out their new digs... :love

A bird that lays a blue egg will always lay a blue egg. Sometimes, the color fades or becomes darker between the beginning of a laying cycle and the end, but complete color changes from brown to blue or pink or green doesn't happen. I'm getting excited now! :celebrate 3 weeks to me getting chicks!! (Don't mind me, I've been posting this everywhere and telling everyone. )

I don't know about any of the others, but the one in the front of this picture looks like a golden Sebright and the one directly behind it looks like maybe a silver Sebright. :) My little Sebright girls. My goldies don't have the best lacing out there, but they're all little cuties anyway. :D

Wow those are great looking birds! Nestle got the name because that chick was a lighter version of Hershey. Those three would look really cool if they grew up to look like yours.

We are trying to get chickens in Noblesville,IN. Please help spread the word to contact us at [email protected] and also sign our petition https://www.change.org/petitions/th...ize-chickens-within-the-corporate-city-limits ! Thanks guys!

Signed.

Everyone should have the ability to feed their family something without generic modifications or growth hormones.

I shall spread the word...

Good luck and thanks for bringing it to our thread. If you have not already, post this in the 'local ordinances and how to change them' thread.

Here are my suggestions... I may be off by a mile, but why not have a go.... I agree with Pip in regards to the Silver and Golden Sebrights.
