Does anyone know of any RV's for sale? My sister is doesn't have a very good paying job and wants to live in an RV parked in my yard... She is willing to get a fixer upper for a nice price.

I am so sorry for your loss. With great sadness, I'm here to share that our dear sweet Bubbles died yesterday. She was starting to molt and looked slightly off. Then a big, young cockerel decided she was easy pickings to mate. (He had a bad habit of jumping on any weak hen or young pullet. He's in the freezer now.) He took Bubbles by surprise & injured her. Her comb quickly went from pink to dark purple. She couldn't stand & laid on her side trying to catch her breath. About an hour later, she was walking around & coming out of shock. I was hopeful when I saw her eat, drink, & even spend some time outside with the flock. She lived for a few days but must have had some unseen injury. With all the mischief in that little hen, I'm so surprised that a rooster was her cause of death. i can't begin to describe my sadness over the loss. She will be missed by not only her family & friends, but by 300+ school children who look forward to seeing her at school presentations, parades, & special events. Bubbles was a very special girl.
RIP dear Bubbles 7-4-2015 - 8-17-2018

I have 2 very good roosters also. Both check the nest boxes before his girls lay & often sit with her. They both stand watch when their flock dust bathes. Find a mouse, bugs or small snakes and calls his girls to come eat. I make sure they have enough hens to prevent overbreeding and most of my older hens wear aprons.. But there are a lot of crummy roosters that never grow out of that teen cockerel stage also. I cull any over aggressive rooster fairly quick and that includes over-mating.The right rooster is a great addition to a flock. I do think a rooster free zone is a must though. I almost have one a rooster free zone, since my rooster Cali, who is with just one hen and her chicks (not her true offspring), rarely mates.
Last year I set six eggs that were supposed to be fertilized by him, and only two were fertile. After that I figured out it's because he doesn't mate much.
He's been a very good step dad and protector.
Check with local storage rental places! DH bought a "Class A" camper for $25 and it's huge, bus sized! The storage facility owner wanted it gone ASAP, RV owner abandoned it. We use it as an overnight "guest house" here if family comes from out of town.Does anyone know of any RV's for sale? I hear ya, Olive my infertile Olive egger is broody. I'm letting her, she is a fantastic mom. I may get a few Copper Maran hens next year and rebuild my OE flock. I want this hatch to add Beefy's genes to my EE flock.Muffy, my Ameraucana, is broody for the second time this year! Taking eggs away and taking her off the nest every day. I don't need any more birds.
Bell, one of my muscovies, has been dashing off (as fast as a muscovy can) every morning to somewhere, that I'm thinking she has a hidden nest where she's stashing eggs, and planning her next brood. I haven't found the nest yet.

Both Muscovy hens are brooding. 2nd round this year! This will be last hatch for them, I do not want ducklings going into winter! All 9 ducklings from both Moms are doing great, and coop up every night.
It's a possibility, since I have more ducklings growing up, and will have plenty of eggs. Will you two be selling any Muscovy eggs or ducklings come next year spring?
I usually only sell ducklings. If you are confident with incubating I can sell eggs. As you know, hatching eggs are a little harder than a normal duck breed. I have 2 of the big GQF cabinets, and have to lay them flat in the hatching tray. The mothers are awesome, and always hatch well themselves. Will you two be selling any Muscovy eggs or ducklings come next year spring?
I would love to do a duckling swap with you next year! I have lavenders, solid and pied; and atipico black and lavender. I have kept scovys 6 years now, and anyone close near me have related birds. It's a possibility, since I have more ducklings growing up, and will have plenty of eggs.
