INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

BTW - Any guesses for gender on the brown silkie-serama mix above and the lav orp below. Both turn 8 wks old tomorrow.
* I've been going back & forth on their genders. Both act female most of the time.

I think the orp looks like a pullet, but I've never raised and orp.

Big Bun and a Dominique hen sharing an afternoon snack together:

I was going to ask how that works out for you, free ranging a rabbit. I did a little reading up about it once, and I got the impression that loose rabbits would dig ankle-breaker holes all over your yard, and chew things, like electric cords, if you are running heated waterers.

See post #55218, and Big Bun is not a chewer, but a lot of rabbits are. No holes are dug out in the open or any walking area. He has dug a few holes and tunnels that are under things.

Unexpectedly, I had the opportunity to get my Cotton Patch girl this past weekend! I think she is beautiful! My gander, Wilbur, is afraid of her, just like he was with Lucy. He is letting her a little closer though.

She's not very tame, and doesn't get too close to me. Very calm and quiet bird.

Hoping that by mating season Wilbur can leave his wheelbarrow long enough and feel comfortable with her to mate.
