INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

We get the Brown Stink Bugs in the house by some mysterious manner. We see dozens of brown ones, but usually only see a few green ones. How do those little buggers get inside--and stay alive so long?
As I recall, the Brown ones were accidentally brought over from Asia and the Green Stink Bugs are a native species. They both cause the same crop damage, though, and we kill them just the same.
I hate accidentally vacuuming up a live one, then that stinkyness gets blown all around the house.
UGH yes I gave up vacuuming it stunk the house up. I started seeing them 2 years ago. They seem to be mostly upstairs our addition is not finished yet. Just like the nasty Asian ladybugs am betting they are another oops. Any warm day I see about a dozen. I knock them into an empty water bottle and drown them.

My Bresse hatching eggs are due to come tomorrow. I'm pretty excited, I know the breed are good layers and the roosters get huge. I remember Patrick was pretty pleased with the breed, still kept them last we talked. We've been building new coops so we are ready for the young birds once feathered out.
Surprised my 6 year old Chinese Goose has a nest and she is brooding! Very close to the garden but totally out in the open field. This hen has never hatched a gosling, but I'm giving her 1 last chance. If she doesn't I will take all the eggs going forward.

Stella came home a day early! Her breeder neglected to tell me about her early flight. So Stella spent 3 hours at the airport until a worker decided to call my phone number on her kennel. By the time I got the call, it was 3pm (Chicago Rush Hour). Took me 2 hours to get to the Airport. I was in such a rush and crazy people all around that I couldn't get a video.

The worker handed me Stella inside her kennel all zip-tied up, I cut the zip-ties off. Just as I was pulling Stella out of the kennel, I had a lady walk up to me saying "I want to hold her", while trying to pull her out of my arms. I asked politely for her to back up and to stop trying to take her from me. That I need to look over her to make sure she is okay and to see my new puppy. She got mad started talking fast with curse words and walked away throwing her arms up.

Another thing is people will slam into you not caring if your holding anything and look at you like you ran into them! I had a man shove into me so hard I almost dropped Stella in her kennel! My shoulder still hurts too!

Out of everything that happened, Stella was well worth it! She is such an awesome puppy! My son has really taken a liking to her and same with hubby. Her fur is so fluffy and soft! She chews on anything and everything! She is an ankle biter! We have this organic spray that stops animals from chewing on objects. We spray it on our ankles too! She really doesn't like the taste of it.

She is adorable!

I know I don't want them invading our house. Is anyone else seeing them? Any thoughts/advice appreciated.
Usually every fall we get a ton of the Asian lady beetles coming in the house. This past fall, we got a ton of stink bugs instead. That's when I realized there were no ladybugs. I wonder if the stink bugs killed them off or crowded them out.

I see several of them (stink bugs, brown kind) every day. The dogs want to eat them, but when they do, it must taste bad, cuz they spit them out. But that doesn't stop them from catching the next one they find.

I guess neither stink bugs or ladybugs bother me. They're better than spiders, flies or ants.

Nyla, that's so weird that the breeder didn't give you the flight info.
